In Jibility, a capability is defined only once on the capability map. With the introduction of Groups, which can be a Grid or Value Stream, there is a need to show multiple views of a capability. Or, to show a capability spanning multiple value stages.
To enable multiple views of a capability in different groups. We introduce the concept of a Reference and Linked capability. A Reference Capability is the master or source definition of a capability, and a Linked Capability is a representation of a Reference Capability. There is only one Reference Capability, but you can have many views or representations of the Reference Capability in different groups or value stages, shown as Linked Capabilities.
NOTE: To create a Linked Capability from a Reference Capability, hold the CTRL key when dragging and dropping a capability.
You can read more about Reference and Linked Capabilities here.
